voting time! what strings do you like, and why do you choose these strings? what sort of sound do you go for when choosing your strings?

P.S. does anyone import your own strings? like the prosteels series, or certain guages/scale lengths not available in singapore?

i recently bought 2 packs of Rotosounds, .1s and .09s.

i find rotosound to be a tad bit having more tension, even on the .09s, which i actually like the sound is pretty normal, nothing too fancy.

the extra E string is a bonus as well.

i'll leave my reservations though and see how long it lasts.

I love the Ritter Swordsteels. Never tried anything better. Problem is, I can only afford one set a year Next in line would be the TI jazz rounds... but those can cost a fair penny too...

On a more realistic budget, the DR hibeams are great! But ever since I've converted to become a generic strings user for acoustic guit, I'm gonna try out their nickel roundwounds for bass as well (www.webstrings.com) - super value for money stuff!

I don't see DR Hi Beams on sale in Davis anymore? Anyone knows where else can I get them? They're definitely my fave. But the Tite fits are cool too.

did u ask them? i think they're just running low on stock, i went there a day before and they had noticably less DR bass strings... probably waiting for next shipment

well you can always just ask the guy at the counter, haha he won't bite.

a kind of string? the brand is DR, the two DR letters are smack on the top of the pack and in BIG font. BIG. really big. and yellow too.
