are there like any ways to get a sound close to the strat?
like a choppy bright twangy sound..
yea, so i was wondering,
does gettin a heavier gauge of stings help?
can i just lift the saddle/bridge higher to get the twang string sound?
do seymour duncans help?

with all the ways to get the sound you can never experience the genuine strat sound.

best way.get a real strat.doesnt have to be fender.but it doesnt mean you're a cheapo.

a gibson nighthawk will help, good luck in finding them though :)

There was one at blackwood guitars..

You can't get the strat sound obviously..
It's all about construction.. The way the strat is constructed gives it that sound; the perfect contours for an all-rounded sound..
Even then, you have to look at wood.. I doubt LPs are usually made of Alder/Ash/etc., maybe more of Mahogany.. Different wood leads to different tonal characteristics..

Pups don't really matter lah.. Even with single coils from a strat slapped into a Gibson-of-the-Week SG Standard (the one with single coils) won't give you a strat kinda sound.. Look at the Fender Showmaster; even with hums it still sounds straty! It just amplifies the characteristics of your guitar's wood and construction..
