Hi all, just got a Strat HH pickguard and only when I got home and upon closer inspection, I noticed it did not have the hole to put the standard Strat 3/5 way pickup switch, instead there is a big hole around the area where the Strat pickup switch is supposed to be. The pic is below.

Is there any other pickup switch I can use or does the hole indicate that I have to use a Les Paul kinda switch?

Appreciate ur help, guys/gals...thanks!

yup that hole is for 3 toggle switch, here is mine..

can cut a straight line for strat 5way switch yourself
if u dont mind the cosmetic flaw, if u do then buy another one like this.. hehe

Thanks for the clarification, eieio..:) I was worried that I have to get another HH pickguard to accommodate the usual Strat 3 way switch..

Ok, I get ur point, I can't use the standard Fender switch one so which toggle switch from SV should I get to accommodate my pickguard?

Is it this

or this one

I'm guessing its the 1st one? ;P

Alrite thanks, eieio..orignally, I had this vision of having 2 humbuckers with just 1 volume knob and 2 mini switches, so that can have additional sounds but since this pguard has only got 2 holes, I have no choice but to use 2 push pull pots for volume and tone control..:P

alternatively, u can still use 1 vol control w/o push pull pots
use the other hole for switch or 1 vol & 1 tone(prefered) w/ 1 switch
adding hole is easier than covering up, just a small drill bit can do the job
