Strat = Guitar Hero?

Just like to know.. how come so many guitar heroes use Strats ah?

there are other prolific players who prefer Ibanez (Vai/ Gilbert/ etc), Gibson, ESP, the list goes on...

also, you need not be a 'hero' to embrace a strat...

Hi,

imho, guitar shapes doesnt not determine e sound dat comes out, its e finger works. so whether u use a Explorer, Flying-V, Les Paul, Strat etc. it doesnt matter as long as u can come out w creative riffs to "WOW" e crowd *peace out*

fender heros like SRV(You've got the blues), Eric clapton(ur Cream and ur classic favourites), JIMI HENDRIX(this most insane one), EVH(once), Yngwie malmsteen(neoclassical shred king), buddy guy, eric johnson(one of my personal fav), jimmie vaughn, robert cray, sting, muddy waters, mark knopfler(money for nothing), Jeff beck, dick dale(surf guitar)......

Basically every artist owns a strat.

I personally feel that everyone should have at least a strat in their collection. Even a band like Korn used them for clean passages It's cool, but it still boils down to personal preferences.

i wanted to get a strat once, rip out the single coils and put in 2 humbuckers

but then again.....strat = single coil twang

for the music i play, i guess single coils arent really suited for chugging and hi gain distortion

Strats do not neccesarrily need to have single coils what... it's all personal preference... let them throw all the shit at you, it's YOUR guitar, not theirs. :roll:
