Strap Buttons on the Back

as you guys prolly know that The epiphone Explorers be it the korina ones or the goth one like i have.

The Strap buttons are placed in Such a terrible position, now im not sure if this has been posted.

But if I were to drill a hole to place one on the back like the Gibson explorers, will it like harm the guitar? because we obviously dont know how it looks like underneath there.

Anyone ever done that before ?

IMHO just send it to the pros. I believe it wouldnt cost more than $30. whats more you can take a look at how he does it (provided if you are standing there watching). at least from there, you'd know what to do next time if you want to do a similar task. better than making a mistake and end up selling the guitar at a cheap price :? .

no offence taken .$30 was just my rough estimate. could be more could be less I dont really know. at times like this if you want to DIY, google should be your ally. well, unless someone on this forum has done it before and is willing to share some valuable information.

i guess you're talkin about the strap button thats nearest the neck.
my opinion? go get straplocks instead.
if you want to drill it in the back, go ahead, its strong enough there.
afterall, SGs are like that.

btw, learn how to structure your sentences.
you dont end a sentence halfway, and then continue it on a new line from out of nowhere

I already have straplocks, I was just worried that perhaps Epiphone constructed the guitar in a different way than Gibsons.

Don't tell me how to structure my sentences, it sickens me.
