Stores that buy used musical instruments

Anyone have any advice on stores that buy used musical instruments for a fair price?

I went to Guitar Connection at Peninsula today to inquire whether they wanted to buy a couple of guitars - a MIA Fender Strat and an Ibanez Prestige.

He offered me $1000 for both together, which was a bit surprising. Still, no grudges if he felt that was the best he could offer for the instruments.

As such, just wondering whether there are any other stores I could try selling my guitars to. Or is it just a waste of time and are carousell and ebay my only real options?

Based on my experience, there are several shops in Peninsula and Excelsior that buys used guitars. Bear in mind that being businesses, they will have to buy your guitars for as low as possible to maximise their profits when they resell - hence the low offers.

Cash converters is the same.

I would recommend that you try the soft.com buy / sell thread - many of stuff have been sold here.

Carosell is ok too but soft is more music / instrument oriented.
