Stoner Rock

I've been listening to Stoner Rock bands for quite sometime now. But, I've yet to see a Local band perform that genre except me thrashing my room. Im currently waiting for my Pedal to get that kinda sound.

Is there anyone out there with the same interest in music?

I play for a stoner band.....
We cover bands like kyuss, Fu Manchu ,Clutch
atomic bitchwax, truckfighter,etc.... Your ep is coming out in a months time
we never played a local gig so far but have been activly involved on malaysia
we are called GREEN MONSTER

Yeah. i've been following them since their 1st album dude. Its really cool to see a sword fan.

yeah the sword are amazing.. i caught them live opening for metallica earlier this year and they sound just as good live.. cant wait for the new album that's gonna be out next year. excellent band and definitely one of the better new bands around

There are loads of bands from KYUSS,Queens of The Stone Age,Monster Magnet, Fu Manchu even Pelican.

Alice in Chains are actually stoner rock(ers) during Layne tenure as the vocalist, though they were into harder ( substance ) stuff. They do their genre so well because they know what it's like to live life in the trippy lane.

Stoner rock music is a lifestyle, arguably. If you lead the lifestyle, you'll be able to tap that chord ( no pun intended ).

It ain't easy to write stuff from that genre though it may sound so.

Issit me or isn't Down more of a Sludge Metal band. Not too sure, but I wish Singapore had the thing to get me stoned available legally on the streets.

Down's earlier stuff were pretty straightforward stoner (songs like LIFER, etc).

Orange Goblin is another band to listen too.

1997-1999 I was in a stoner band called 3:16, which later changed name to Bleeding Gums.
Stoner Rock has been staple of my music diet. I now play for CASTLES, n we put in stoner riffs in our songs for the love of it.

another band to check out is Soilent Green, but they are a mix of stoner and grindcore. quite interesting.
