sticker "inlay" for guitar - your comments?

these stickers do have a layer of transparent plastic over them. that layer of plastic shows signs of wear after about a month or so of playing. i got pissed with the frayed edges, so i pulled the layers of plastic out. after that, the sticker stayed down and never gave me any problems anymore. fantastic stuff.

Keith - according to their website - installation instructions - I think U are supposed to remove the plastic sheet during installation

haha, it's actually a G & L. You see, that's what I meant, tweaking to make my guitar to look unique, but still have the option to undo it anytime. It is unfortunate that I cannot bring myself to part with that kind of money for a PRS yet, that's why this seems like a short term solution to make myself shiok.

Yup, right on! It is a Straycat from mid-80s, but PUPs all changed; now it is way too hot to plug into,, may set my house on fire! The output is quite insane.

You mean you have the same drum set? wow. You don't happen to have an 18-month old drummer like I have, do you?

Upgrading Straycats

I would upgrade just about everything, it's worth it, not sure if your friend will feel the same way. After my upgrades, the guitar sounded like a $5,000 one (I changed the nexk PUP to EJ Custom just last year together with some new pots and caps). This is one nice classic.

BTW, it's not obit, it's retro!

Back to the inlays; the tree-of-life sells like hotcakes and is always out-of-stock according to the lady, same thing for the thunderbolt and skulls.....

I also bought a few for the body, way cool!
