what setting do you use for your pix?

the subject is lit but the background is dark. is this because you were using fast shutter + flash?

Hello Soft,

Basically every single images goes through a post-process whereby it was edited via Photoshop, thus the intentional blackening of the background.

The images you see here isn't raw from the camera.

Fast shutter wasn't use cos it didn't capture the colour of the spotlights.

Most of the images were captured on a slow shutter with an ISO of 640 - 800 on flash, recommended settings for spotlights. That's what I felt, but do advise me if there's a more convenient setting.

[Perplexed]

A great gig's a temporal moment of wonder & beauty. The photography captured during that time however, is like some kind of post-event bonus performance, with individual moments frozen in time for posterity.

Great photo work adds on & enhances the whole experience, making it that much better. I think what I'm trying to say is grafikpunk dude your shots rocked!
