Squire Telecasters

Is the californian series made of basswood or agathis? Some dude says it's basswood but others say agathis...

Now that is interesting...makes me kinda interested too. But I heard baswood is soft...like, if you rest your head on it, will it create a dent?

yes basswood is sooo soft that if you rest your arms on it... esp on a tele you'll get something like this.

i bought a california series tele, owned for less than 24 hrs and the singer in the country band I sessin with bought it off me...

not too bad for that price range BUT get the rosewood fingerboard - the often mismatch malpe board / neck CMI uin my book.

Lol, like, I'm serious...I'm not very careful with me guitars...though I don't drop 'em, I occassionally bump them into me bedside or cupboard.

basswood is soft.

like IBANEZ soft.

so any problem coming from the Ibanez users camp?

ANY guitar that is painted will have its finish CRACK and DENTED nevermind the wood if you're gonna bump it around.

So if you're not going to take care of the guitar... don't bother whether the wood is balsa wood or jelutong.

fgl: Lol, nvm bumps...you might faint in fear after your guitar's covered by stickies...XD

Edder: Geez, I said bump...not smash. Like, dook! Not bang, bloop koong!

Edder: Oh...but my guitars haven't had their finish scratched yet, never mind dents...so that shows how slight the bump is, but they ain't basswood so that's what I'm concerned.

Wait, how can the finish be dented? Wouldn't that mean the wood?

I have alder lah, jelutong lah, laminated maple lah even ash with finish dented and cracked when bumped.

Bump also got many magnitudes.

Sighs.... I dunno man... nevermind my comments.
