i got a second hand zoom g2.1u recently and the sounds are kinda good, but there's something up with the expression pedal. it just squeeks everytime i play the pedal! there's sometimes some "krak krak krak" sound too! they usually pop up at the screw/nut joint. is an expression pedal supposed to do that?

what am i supposed to do? read up a thread about wd-40 at the "squeeky" areas, and am thinking about it (coz it may damage the pedal). what about loosening the screw?

HELP!!!

WD40 is the last thing you wanna use on ANY musical instrument but then if you wanna lubricate some METAL joints, it should be ok. Some plastics donch like WD40 too much.

budget multieffects have flimsy expression pedals. squeaks and beeps are part and parcel of it. I used to have a tube of "rubber grease" that I bought from a hardware shop in Msia and its plastic and rubber compatible. Thats my grease of choice.
