Splitting my bass signal

Hi bassists,

need your help.
I would like to split the signal of my bass but don't know whether I will encounter problems of any kind.

My bass sounds so good by itself that I want to input this "pure" signal straight into the amp.
The 2nd signal should go thru a few EBS pedals and then added/mixed to the "pure" signal.

I should say that my actual setup does not have a effects send/return.

How can I realize this?

If you have the budget, the EBS Mircobass II is worth the investment. It has a Effects loop that you can blend with the original signal.

Alternatively, you can also use it to "split" the signal, by tapping out from both the "link" and "output".

Awesome, thanks, will look into that (and check my budget).

I think I want full flexibility or be able to dynamically change the sum coming from the effects chain I would need to place a volume pedal at the end of it, right?

Cheers
