someone offer a newbie some advice?

show us the tab?? quite curious abt it lol.

regarding your guitar.. send it to a shop for a full set up ba..

the ultimate to all questions abt guitar....

practise only..... practise until you can play in the dark even...

play until you over come your fear of the dark ?

@qiangheh you dont have to change your strings just to fix your intonation.. anw just be sure the that your strings are the problem.. you dont wanna end up changing strings and yet still have bad intonation.. besides there are afew factors to bad intonation.. tell in anycase depending on what kinda guitar your using i would suggest u diy and try to get it intonated first before spending that extra cash.. but if you're rich go ahead by all means :)

will find the wrong tab soon, cause that time anyhow searching lol.

regarding about the "playing in the dark" thing, really cannot. i tried with the lights on + focus on fretting hand, my right hand keeps strumming the wrong string. -_- i guess i'll have to keep practising. thanks for all the advice!

the intonation is abt the open string having the exact same note as the note on the 12th fret of the same string. abt diy, i think it isn't advisable if you just started...if you flop it bad, the set up may just cost more. in the end sending it to the shop is to have a professional make it play well gives you a peace of mind. just my opinion.

about the smoke on the water thing: the sound was just off i could tell by just playing the note LOL
regarding the both hands thing: did all of you had this problem? cause i thought i was the only one with the confusion.

edit:Likui told me the intonation was off when i got the guitar. so i'm supposed to fix it by changing the strings. but in the first place whats intonation? searched around the internet and it said that the note and an octave higher should be the same. don't really know what it means, can someone explain? lol.

is not fixed the intonation by changing string, is when u want to change string tell the guitar shop ppl to fix your intonation problem also. if you don't do that u just change string the intonation will still be out.

haha diy try to fix first.. i mean you cant possible break anything in your guitar while intonating it so yea google how to intonate for your kinda bridge and try it out first :) but if your dealing in anycase with your truss rod .. thats the only thing you shouldnt diy if you're not sure lol...

will probably send to repair once exams over. the 12th fret note obviously is higher lol -_-

btw, i produce a fuzzy sound sometimes, how do i prevent this fuzzy sound? something wrong with my hands?

sometimes it's due to improper fretting and not your guitar's setup

i've got no idea how to explain this one to you.. just press normally and make sure let's say your pressing a chord your fingers dont accidentally mute the other strings that your suppose to let it sound out and erm have a habit to press not too around the fret areas :)

lets say for now, i am picking the strings that i press only, that means i don't have any open strings to pick.
the note i'm playing is this:
---------------------
---------------------
----------3---------
----------3----------
---------------------
---------------------
i already manged to stop the fuzzy sound, which is to press hard on the strings, doing it for like 5minutes hand pain like hell already lol.

ok. now one more thing, just noticed that the metal lines on the fret board abit brownish, its rusting isn't it? anyway to remove/clean it? will try and upload pictures.. z.z
