some of the best HOMEGROWN BANDS in Big O's New School Rock

It's always cool when you rummage through your personal stuff and find some old crap that put a smile on your face.
Or laugh your ass off.
I was digging up some stuff in my drawer and found some old Ossuary pics:

From left: Shahril, Sham, Bidi and Omar (sitting)
In the studio for the recording session of the BigO's New School Rock compilation CD. Original guitarist Arafat, left the band prior to the recording session. Leaving Sham(Eibon, Doxomedon, Itnos) to fill in.

Bidi, at the legendary WTC amphitheater. Two words: 'OLD SCHOOL'. This is probably in 92 - the lean, hungry, early days lah. Notice the empty seats behind him. So I guess they haven't broke it big yet during that time.

Bidi again - Life at the top! This is one of the New School Rock gigs at the WTC amphitheater in 93. Notice the packed crowd! For those of us who have fond memories of that place and the time, it will always a special place in our hearts. Rest in peace, WTC amphitheater!

I'm gonna post some more old school pics when I find them.
Metal up your asses!

Old school man..........Owebig time to Shahril, he gave me my first Pantera cd and his drumset man....hahaha.. ossuary kicks ass!!!!!!!

ha ha!!!! old skool ossuary!!! salute!!!!! salute!!!!

too bad Arafat chill out...damn miss him, started guitar bcoz of him.

powderful band la Ossuary... i still small kid when they play at WTC...
how i wish the place is still like the old times

I think Sacred Reich owe Ossuary some favours for bringing some attention to the band haha! I loved Ossuary's covers of Love/Hate, Surf Nicaragua and The American Way. They did some covers that none or few bands have done before.

Hey skidzophonics, Shahril gave the drum away to you cos he said it was crappy haha! He said he never once played it. Anyway he's not really big on having drums and equipments. Sometimes he doesn't even bring his sticks to practice.

Yeah wyldeboon, when I first learnt that Arafat left the band, I was bummed out. That man has the tone of god in his fingers. It's cool that he influenced you a lot, cos I also hold high regards to his clean and precise picking and the way he shreds. Those were the times man....

yeah man... u got it rite judas... arafat is actually my uncle...
he's lost for now,i guess... long time cant contact him.... haven finish 'stealin' his skills yet!!!! :D
love listen to his playing, especially wen we jam ozzy osbourne's mr.crowley. i was like...wtf... randy rhoads clone!!! :D

we were schoolmates at 14 [1984], formed our 1st rock band, doing sabbath/ozzy, rainbow, scorpions, iron maiden. Arafat was on bass during those days. we got chased out from few jam studios for being too LOUD lmao. By 16 we were doing Dio - Loudness. we sure had some history together, teenage partners in crime

His riffs/solos on Ossuary was total killer \m/

So he's your uncle? That's cool bro!
Last I heard of him a few months back, he was kind of itching to get back playing. What I know for certain is it's a waste if he does not continue playing. I hope he goes back to playing guitar so we can all steal his skills a bit, haha... And who can forget his trusty tiger skin finish Aria (was it Aria?) guitar?

It's amazing that you two guitar masters came from the same band. Paul, why not you two get back together and do a 'Cacophony' type guitar project la. That'll be awesomous maximus!

his tiger Aria Pro, those were good Japanese makes in the 80s. our 1st band drummer Rosli is still stroking, with Project Liquid. reunion? if the chance permits, a Metal gig would be fun. :)

yeah...his aria pro...with the tiger stripes... he die2 dun1 to sell me... its kinda bad oreadi, nid servicings... i dunno when he last play, the last time i saw him play wen we were jammin for fun like 3yrs bck.tt was the only time i saw him coz he 'relek' liao... marry oreadi mah + kids summore...
if i see him,i confirm talk wif him n 'psycho' him to play a reunion wif paul...
 that is a nice thing to see....

Hello bro,
Thanks for the comments. The Mother is still alive and we're working on our second album. You can visit my private storeroom and check out some old and new stuff:>> http://homepage.mac.com/jalisetan

Flush: the two songs on Flush After Use
DarkTrip: three songs from our first album A Dark Trip On The Ill Tip
Lost Shadow In The Dark: sneak preview of our next album (rough cuts). expected release: August 2006
Evil Stuff: just some of the commercial stuff I do which bankrolls the more serious stuff which I do with The Mother

funny that you should mention the NSR stuff. we wrote those tunes when we were kids. listening back to them now i thought they're a bit juvenile, which is why i didn't include them on the site.

OP? francis frightful and gang dissappeared from the scene. Swirling Madness: I met the bassist Glenn last year, they said they're forming back but no news so far. Ex-Mother/Padre Nigel Hogan's got his own outfit named IF. they're playing tonight at Home Club.

no worries Judapiss, but hey who wouldn't want a new drum set...hahahah...always dread shaking hands with Shahril man.....dude has got some grip....hahaha

Yeah I don't know what's up with that. Especially if you do that handshake with the pressing of thumbs. Don't ever do that if you don't want to risk any injuries.
