someone mention "Timeless Timber Fron DW"....my saliver dripping like hell already - That's my Ultimate Dream Snare man...Anway I can't afford that I guess.

The DW NP Snare is also one of the most beautiful snare around.....wish I own these....but what to do $$$$ not enough.

OK I need you Bros help now in my "Snare Selection" to get a Matching Snare Drum for my Pearl MLX which is Paino Black in Colour.....

I was looking at the Pearl Reference Series (Granite Sparkle) to match my old 1982 Paino Black Kit. (I think this colour is closest to my kit & on top of it - It's a Pearl also).....or should I instead get a Signature Series Snare from Pearl instead? - I'm confuse as I have little knowledge in snare drums and of course better ask you all - cause it's not cheap (I am not getting it at Less 50% Discount) cause - Helmi from Swee Lee told me - not all snare will be at the 50% discount.

The Pearl 14" Reference SEries Snare in Granite Sparkle that I saw last Saturday at Swee Lee is one of these that will not be at less 50% (beside the 13" they put up only during the New Year less 50% sales)....

I'm lost - first I don't know (to get a 13" or a 14" in size), then among all the Pearl Snare - which one sound best - Have any of you tried the REference Snare - Does it sound good? Please Help

im trying to do a little experiement here... so here's the skeleton.

I'm thinking of doing a project which goes by ordering a shell from Keller...

asking them to do all the bearing edge finished, lugs installed and hoops installed * if hoops can get cheaper outside than i go for other hoops *

once everything's done ship em here, take out the hardware and spray the outside of the shell with lacquer, spray paint them with graphics and spray them with another coat of laquer and buff em...

what do u guys think??

Mac, if you want to, u can ask some1 to air brush it....

it was my plan for my whole set.... problem is, i got the air brush, but I know my skills in using it is poor... especially it has been years that i don't do drawings, only computer graphics now... :(

if you cant find good air brush artist in singapore, I know a good place, but it is out of singapore, i'll be glad to bring it there for you at no charge....

u know that is a good idea... i'll begin with the snare....

Zhong: If I were to guess, probably from somewhere like THIS.

Same specs. US$329+US$78 shipping = approx S$630.

But yeah, wait for vio's answer lah, it's his baby.

i bought my snare from the very same ebay seller that weckl-x mentioned.

it was cheaper a few weeks ago, but now is more expensive. she's down to her last 3 snares if i'm not wrong.

and the fact that i recieved it means the seller can be trusted.

Take note that if u intend to buy the snare from her, you need to confirm your paypal address.
