Smash Ez1 Or Timbresr200

i nvr asked for advice...i only seek them.

Isn't that the same?

And seriously man, Woodlands from Bedok? 168 takes about 45 mins. I traveled from Tampines to Woodlands lugging around my guitar to change my pickups there. TWICE. And I certainly didn't complain cos I know it's worth it. You want something, it's not about investing money, but also time.

And you know, I really don't understand this: If you a planning to purchase either one of those two guitars, aren't you gonna be traveling down to Woodlands anyway? Before buy, can try right?

Unless you are trying to get us to give you advice to choose, then once we give it, you call up Mike to deliver over to your place, pay a bit of that extra to him for the delivery and then make do with your purchase without trying the other. Which brings back to the problem again: If we recommend and you end up not liking it, then how?

read your previous posts and use your brain a little.
no one is indebted to helping you, but now you're talking as if we do.
and the best advice we've given is going to try. since youre getting it, go there, see which one you like more and buy it. has that occured to you?
man youre being such a jerk talking like that.

dude....i think youre not getting what im trying to say..you read my previous post and dude..i am not a joke neither am i not a jerk.please...if youre only going to start flaming me...might as well make a thread about it and see how egocentric you are

ahh sure, do just that. sheesh.
im not flaming. im just highlighting in which the tone you put across, in which i find you extremely self centered, after which, no malice intended.

cheers.

although i still find some of the crap you wrote to be unreasonable.
TS, i feel that you should be more polite and treat every piece of advice/ information given to you as important as anything thats important to you. Try reading back at your posts from a different perspective, say from us, other SOFTies. We all feel that you think we are indepted in helping you.
just my 2 cents. no harm intended.

okay for stuides you can go to woodlands and such but this is a guitar dude, its totally different thing and i am seriously not sure when im going to get it or what i am going to get.

dun get the gitar.

Hi I'm a noob and I will start making trillions of threads asking people what guitar to get and I'm not going to try those guitars recommended.

haha epic post! it sums up what point the TS is trying to get across

Most epic post of this thread. Well TS, this is what you are trying to tell us you know :/

damn this post is getting interesting to read lol...ok whatever. TS just mind ur tone. u're putting ur point across in a very negative and self-centered way just like what ladyintears has said.

also yes, saying other SOFTies' advices are crap isn't gonna get u any sympathy from them. not trying to add to the flaming war that's started here but really, do think more before u click the post reply button thanks :)

anyway, my direct advice to u is get the smash ez1 cos its more versatile than the timbre. plays anything from blues to rock to metal. the timbre might have abit of a buzz when u turn it to overdrive due to its singlecoil. but better try both out. they're both at the same place, fret not...cheers :D

TS: I'm not a student studying in Woodlands, thank you very much. The only reason for me to go to Woodlands these days would be to go to Standard Value.

And half of your latest reply is unreadable, so I think I'll just let this be.

but better try both out. they're both at the same place, fret not...cheers :D

Moral of the story, aye?

wow....egocentric....a word with 4 syllables! Maybe TS needs some ice to cool his overheated brain.....

I havent tried both guitars, but common sense begets that i would throughly audition both guitars before forking out the moolah.... 8)

TS, nothing beats using your own ears to try out the guitars (and amps) you have shortlisted. No matter how you search the forum or google (you did right?) for reviews on both guitars, ultimately your ears will decide for you.

Get Mike from Standard Value to help you out on choosing, he is a nice and honest guy. I got my SR200 package from him and has been really happy with it. Only wish that I have more time to practice.

my my...45 mins (k la 1hr la to put it) journey when a person i knew goes all the way to japan to look see guitars. i burn 1hr30mins a way trip to beez just for him to screw here and there. because it's best for my guitar.

still im with the others: test the guitars yourself. unless of course words like "warm", "trebly" "sharp" etc mean everything to u.

Wow ... by this time, readers of this thread will:

a/ surely know where Standard Value is; b/ and how guitar enthusiasts would make their way to SV inspite of the distance; c/ what SV sells; d/ who Mike is; e:/ availability of both Swish and Timbre at SV; and f/ how to get there.

Better than paying banner space at Soft!!!

Isn't that the same?

You mean "Smash"?

And yes, good things often not left unsaid. Of course, a banner ad works provided people click on it. This thread serves its purpose in the same way provided people bothered to read it too, yeah? :D

This forum really did put Standard Value on the spotlight, eh? Now majority of people are aware of Standard Value. So far, I've never been disappointed by Standard Value.
