Skinnies aren't just an emo thing. Tsk.

I think people adopt their style from bigger names in the industry. I don't think it should be tagged as an "emo thing". Even runway models and designers wear them. Michael Kors even said skinny jeans are just getting skinnier and skinnier after each season. It's been around for quite a while and I'm quite sure Michael Kors isn't some emo-rocker. Haha.

Can't stand it when people link skinny jeans to "emo-rocker".

And by the way, I DON'T WEAR SKINNIES. So I'm not standing up for myself. I just look baaaad in them.

IMO, i think skinny jeans as a fashion trend just dont look good on most people. i mean , there will be some that suit the look, but then, most just dont.

but then, i still think skinny jeans still go best with high cut boots. as in doc martens.
but then, the only band's i think looked good in skinny jeans were Anthrax, and Motorhead.

just my opinion.

well if u ask me i tend to see more 'indie' kids nowadays..also in skinnies accompanied with scarf iviting to be pulled on both ends in opposite directions...

Well, some people no matter how ridiculous some think of the fashion ideas - some people can carry it off and look damn GOOD...

I can already hear the tsk tsks but a good example would be Ash from By Definition in red/white skinny jeans and scarfs.
