TYMC has them I believe, but they're the lower-end Indonesian-made Global series. Still incredibly well-made for it's price though.

Then what about MIJ strats? Does swee lee carry in MIJ? I'm actually thinking of MIJ strat and FGN. Trust the japanese.

I think Davis has MIJ strats and so does TYMC. You might want to check out the American Special strat as well, it retails for 1080 at SV guitars.

Just to sidetrack a little, do any MIM/MIJ Fender strats have 22 frets? Besides the blacktop

I was quite surprised Bras Basah had one Japanese Fender. Maybe that was an outlier.

swee lee basically offers the models in the american catalogue. if we look closely, it includes some models which are made in Japan, that's the reason why there are such models there

IMO, made in _____ doesn't say anything much about the guitar except that, where it was made. I wouldn't really use that as a gauge for quality assurance.

On another note, Woodworkz brings in FGN guitars. Their proprietary Circular Fret System is a pretty neat feature.

I'm guessing you're a DT fan because of your username, so this is what an MIJ Strat is capable of.

well petrucci does use single coils, although very sparringly,

one of my favourite petrucci tone was created using a strat. Lines in the sand from the falling into infinity album

For mij fenders can check out sound alchemy. The local dealer for fgn do not have very good prices. Swing's pretty good as well! Check out blade guitars, davis brings them in. Seems pretty good
