theres no ah beng music scene lah. Those pai kia chant has been around for many many years, even back in the early 90s when i was studying in some ah beng secondary school.

Hehe, when canto disco was around in 90s, beng seng kias were prolly doing their aw ah aw chant live while dancing as well.

thats the thing dude.. i was like thinking if 3 little pricks can make a vid..i think our independent artist and band should make a video also..i mean come on so many cool bands in singapore but apparently those who make vids are so little. I mean it wouldnt hurt the effort of making a music vid with technologies these days. a camera and windows movie maker and u could make a pretty darn good video haha

hehe, Royston Tan even bother to make a movie on ah beng and yet not these so called indie musician, that prolly means the ah beng culture has more to talk about then the indie artist who are so stuck in their own world and culture.

Anyway, not need to be so serious lah. There are quite a number of indie music video around as well. Exposed more to those and know more people around, you be amazed that theres actually people doing those in singaland and not just scene taken from a movie that was done already years ago. By talking about it now, only show that we are not in time during the movie launch and out of touch by few years at least.

Anyway, for local music video, heres couple few. There are more on youtube with videos done by our own fellas indie folks, be it done professinonally or amateruish, point is, theres actually a lot going on, more then what we know...

haha, gotta agree with that. At least ah beng can make me laugh while the average tortured indie folks in the forum context might be too tough and whiny for me, i can prolly cry watching a movie on them. The tears of predictability and extreme bordom of what doesnt work, instead of how to make it work.
