Question... why does Singapore Idol follow like the exact same format as American Idol? Did you see like how the hopeful top 24 have to 'take that long narrow walk' down to meet with the judges who will reveal to them their fate...?
Then again why some genres of music will probably not succeed with the mainstream is partly because our beloved 'mainstream' ears are mostly listening to what we are told to listen to... anything else that is unsafe, different and supposedly gives us bad vibes... will... be... filtered... out....

Uhhhmmm... because Singapore Idol is part of the same Idol franchise? So, I'm sure the format has been tuned to what has been proven to 'work' in terms of production and entertainment value.
ps Peace is not simply lucrative enough for humans. That's why need to declare war on each other every few decades. :mrgreen:

lol, I think "metalheads" complain too much. I really dont think mainstream community hates metal, in fact, I think its the opposite. You guys as usual making too much out of everything. metal is just not viable in local media at the moment so just accept it. Till then, if you want metal to be popular, go do something about it. But then again, you guys like to keep it real and be tr00 and kVlt. back on topic, my support goes out to Airie and Nurul Huda, great musicians and genuinely nice people!
