Singapore Flyers Power Failure!

biopromax, try to imagine you being in their situation. Must be tough for everyone. Hope everything is going to be ok.

unsafe

apparently, this is not the 1st time the flyer is having problems... wonder if there will be a serious accident next time... imagine the bad publicity

yah but safety always come first... if they can't ensure that... better close the whole wheel down...imagine what the whole world is thinking right now... I don't see this kind of problem plaguing the London Eye

i saw that in the news, they mentioned the flyer prepared transport for those who are affected. I think there's buses back to JB too.

Imagine 170 heads * transport back + bad publicity

very bad :(

maybe a band who played there overloaded the circuits and shorted the whole thing out??????

6hrs on board the flyers..

Will the people in it loving it?
We should ask the people involved in the incident.
Is it bad or good?

No one is injured in this incident. Hope in the future, the wheel will turn slower. SO this won't happen?
hmm.......

give them a break lah.

when the LRT first opened it got stuck too, if they decided to follow advice and shut it, then how?

when the NEL first opened it got stuck so many more times. If they decided to follow this kind of advice and shut it, Sengkang would still be a place in the woods. Then how?

It's still a very nice building and it's unfortunate that there had to be a power failure. But at least it didn't collapse.

Wonder how those people were compensated. Maybe they were given another free ride after it was fixed? ;)

ya i was wondering too. got the couple who paid 3k to book the capsule and other stuff for their wedding. damn sad la, the wedding plan till so nice then got this thing happen.

I'm sure they have enough people ranting about the situation already. They're already doing their best. Nobody wanted this to happen. It can happen anytime, anywhere in the world. Let's take some pride in what our country can offer instead of dissing them cos of some tech errors :)

after that unfortunate event, would they still wanna go back in?
they may want to if they were compensated with a free ride.
but at some point of time they may be thinking of the worst case scenarios.

the problem of it shutting down was okay, sometimes it happens. but the way they did the rescue was very very NOOB. they should have used like some helicopter or smth IMO. The SAF has so many of these surely they can lend a few to help out
