Shrinking or growing pedal board?

hah, just wanna hear your pedal board stories how they started out and what made you downsize or upsize the board...

i have been using the PT Jr. and reckon sometimes, i just need a mini, but sometimes need a PT1... but the thought about the size scares me...

i guess what saves me is that the PT1 has no softcase... or is there?

My board limits the number of pedals I use. Thank GOD or else I'd be tapdancing thru every song!

nice thread to check on the player's transition.

and the final setup:

1st setup was back in 2006 when i first got interested inplaying guitar and effects.was sort of an innocent setup with pretty innocent effects there.

2nd was a major boss invasion.as long as they serve their purpose oh well!and yeah i started using the pedaltrain in 2008 i guess and thats a PT2.damn heavy.

3rd setup sees the experimentation on other brands.i enjoyed the empress tremolo alot and the PT2 has gone.the weight was killing me.got an MP1 sized stagg case instead.

4th is the final one that has followed me to a couple of jams and gigs.

i just thought to myself,i shouldnt have sold all my stuff.i shouldve kept them with me.i suddenly realised each and everyone of them are precious.

=)
sorry for a long post.

My pedalboard has always been the same, Tuner -> Overdrive -> Distortion. The most important thing that I must have is the tuner pedal.

I don't see the need to use Delays or Modulations yet.

depending on situations, whether doing sessioning for friends or solo thingy

for friends, anything goes that fit into their music

for own stuff, anything that fit and is needed and at times, no geetar nor effect needed as well. Everything be done in laptop and with midi controller.

i dont think so. get a 2 maybe? slightly slightly bigger only.

my board has been growing like mad. dont wanna be reminded abt it...

don't wanna go to the pt2.
but might, just might consider getting a mini, and when the time comes... 2 pedal board if need be... hmmnn... that could be a solution... haha...

you guys have transition boards?your very first board ever?i wanna see man how everybody started.

i had my days of
multi-effects (Korg G4)

and also rack mount
ADA mp1 classic
ADA microcab
Alesis Midiverb 4
Alesis Quadraverb 4

but pedal still kills with great amps...
