hey guys, i;ve just made a purchase online for a guitar and i made the usual request such as Detuning of strings and to include bubble wrap on the interior of the shellcase and LOTS of tape on the outside to prevent stuff from spilling out.

i was wondering if theres anything else i should include to ensure its safe deivery, and hope of the neck not getting cracked or whatever.

any experienced peeps willing to share?
since it still is in the processing part theres still time to add onto the special packaing request portion

First ever guitar bought online, hope i dont screw it up :/
thanks!!

haha i just bought a splash overseas too. i scared the cymbal crack man.. i also scared the shipping doesnt go through:/ Anyone know hwo fast Singapore deliver the mail once the mail reaches the custom?

Okaye heres what i know.
They wont leave at ur house. youll have to collect at the HQ of singpost. so make sure someone is home around the time you're expecting ur mail. although u gave contact number, they MAY NOT call u. so yeap.

hmmm, apprently its shipped over form the states Via EMS or soemthing like that, will it still pass thru Singpost when it arrives in Singapore?

like they'll hand over the billing address and shipping address to singapore side and delivery will be taken over by singpost?

eh friend, my first time also. all i know is mine will arrive in one week cause mine is fedex then will go through singpost. but i think urs will go through singpost tooo. yeappp there should be a tracking number also ah

they will bring it down to your house. if you happen to be absent at that time, they will leave a note behind saying

"your package so-and-so could not be delivered to your house and thus has been left at so-and-so location. please collect it yourself."

I have experience shipping some non music stuff over to singapore, some big boxes some bubblewrap envelopes, unless shipped through ups and dhl, all packages will go through singpost i believe, and if above $400 i think tax is needed to be paid at the door.

In the event you're not home they'll leave a collection note for you, but i've been unlucky and the post man had just left the envelope outside my house just like that twice, so i was pissed.

But i think a package as big as a guitar wont be left outside.

To be safe, i would advise you to check your tracking regularly, to roughly know when to expect your package.
