hey, have any of you guys and gals here actually smashed up a guitar before?i'll share mine.
my cousins and I found a classical guitar with a broken neck under a block 2 years ago.it was actually freaking strong,as i could stand on it,and it did not break. It broke only after my cousin decided to throw it into the wall lol.
so,share you experience if you had done so before!

Haha! I have! It's um in school! Lol my school got this guitar lesson every morning, and the guitar we got (paid together with the course) were shitty. So after a few month, we smashed it in school! We stepped on it, jump on it, throw it and smash it against the wall and table... We used a scissors and stab it and there's a hole. This shows how lousy it is... We had fun destroying it, but we made so much noise that the DM came up! but the guitar was already smashed so we hid the pieces, so we managed to escape! haha!

NICE MAN NICE!!!
i did mine under the block abt 11pm after exercise
thank god no one heard the racket we made :)

hahah my friend found a strat copy at the void deck of his house. even had a case. it was totally working. no strings. but back then i didnt play guitar and i couldnt even rmb the brand. but i'm dead sure it wasnt a well known brand. he brought it to sch and we took turns to smash it. really not as easy to break as it seemed. smashing acoustics seems much more fun.

the first hit i rmb did absolutely nothing but left a huge dent. only when my friend hit seriously hard on the floor the the neck give way. so in the end the body was still in a good shape. only the neck broke into 2 pieces. wasnt as fun as expected. damn was that thing solid.

Watching Pete Townshend smash a beautiful Fender Stratocaster that served him so well during the show never fails to break my heart and make me angry. I like his playing but I don't like him as a person at all.

Closest I came to guitar abuse was when I was re-stringing my acoustic. The string snapped, I got angry sent the guitar sliding on the floor for some distance. Surprisingly, there was no damage. I really regretted doing that, but I'm older now and it was the first and last time I ever 'abused' my guitars.

I abuse my laptop a darn lot, though. Still works perfectly after three years.

I believe it's a dummy Strat if he's doing it in his more advance years like in the video. He has stated he regrets his shtick that he played up in the 60s. Their attitude to gear was very different from us now.

Malmsteen smashes up a Strat pretty often. Its one that's ready to be smashed. So does Vai. I forgot what's the name of the one he smashes, Gnasher? It's so worn and over mended apparently, even with a new neck, it's hard to play.

I tried to smash a Samick Strat copy I had a few times. It can't be done. Plywood bodies in acrylic paint is impossible. I still have it. May get a new neck and turn it into a slide guitar~

I smashed by SX jazz bass a few months back. Cause its dying on me alrdy. me and my friends Killed it near the parking lot beside Lot1. :x

You people are all sadistic beasts...
continue these and I shall report all of you to S.P.C.G

PS. No affiliation to S.P.C.A.

Actually I'd enjoy smashing any strats/Les Pauls. The higher end, the more vintage, the more expensive, the more satisfaction. Any sponsors? No Jackson strats though, the name saves it from my wrath.

ai yah, smashing ex equipment is waste of money.
if i could find a cheapo 5 buck guitar at pasar malam, hehehe:)
