haiya ! thought this thread was boring man so didnt check it out..how much i regretted now ! :cry:well whens the next gathering or what ? and what are rudiments used for huh ?


im not into punkrock anymore.years ago :)
 
ahhh rudiments..very important... u can use for drumset playing...
rudiments are basically the most basic strokes of a pattern.. learn ur rudiments mr punkster.. =) and your drumming will excel!!

When you're there, just walk along Holland Road Shopping Centre. Keep walking until you see a road with a steep slope down. You should see a coffeeshop right below the slope. Go down the slope. Turn right. Once you see Coffee Bean, you're on the right track. Keep walking straight and you'll be at Wala Wala pub.

Haven't been there for some time, so I hope the directions I've given are still accurate lol. Or if you're lost there, just ask any passersby where is Wala Wala or Coffee Bean lah. They should be able to direct you.

PS: You guys not gathering in the evening already ah? Then I guess I'll give the Wala auditions a miss. Have fun guys. And good luck to Pulse and Semblence! :D
 
shrugs.. seems like they are going for wala wala.. if that's the case, how bout next week? next week still got auditions?
 
i'm from a military band which is so slack that they consider it a concert band now and i play the trumpet.. but i secretly learn drums and snare drumming =D and i was very inspired to master my rudiments after watching drumline....then after that i watched it more than 15 times.. (people tell me..get a life...) it's true... hahaha which sucker actually watches a movie more than 10 times?? that's so sick.. well i din care...at least i can play all the cadences featured in drumline =D
 
drummer buah, no shit u can play them huh, must teach me man. when u get that army application form dun forget to put down u in military band when u go army can slack in the army band. uh huh
 
i hope i don't have to enter army..i'm very worried about my drumming during that time...
yea sure i'll teach u a couple of em.. =) but u gotta make sure u are well..comfortably familiar with the traditional grip already..
 
okie, my trad grip is nothing to shout abt but it'll do i hope. actually i haven't been woodshedding my rudiments in awhile

I don't think so.

If its not the army, its the police or civil defence..

Can opt for military bands dude. Learn from them. It'll make ur skills better instead of worrying pettily abt ur drumming.

I brought along my practice pads along to camp to train..

Dream on abt no need to enter army..

saf bands is a great way to learn man. u get 30 drummers all good at different things. all the time in the world to train ur chops. go learn to read now and learn to buzz roll thats all u needddddddddddddddd for all the benefits
