bro, bring your guitar down to gc, and ask him to quote you a price. then take it from there. if u think its good, go ahead. if not, sell it here. or share with us.
my guess is as good as anyone's. its better selling here. and true, they got rent and staff costs too, to pay for.

the shop would take about 10% - 15% after the guitar is sold. IMO it is better to put it for consignment as there are people who don't visit soft but go to a guitar store everyday. that is the targeted audience.
furthermore, the boss would probably be better at convincing someone to buy your guitar. he is a salesman after all.
I happen to think of this question reading your post...if you put a guitar on consignment at a shop, and you also post it on SOFT. Is this 'ethical'? I'm asking cause I thought about a situation whereby you post it on SOFT and put the instrument on consignment at a store.
And if you sell it via SOFT, that means you don't have to pay the commission but yet it isn't fair cause you already left your guitar at the store and they're hoping they could sell it for you.
