SD-2 in need of help!

Hi, I am having some issues with my SD-2 bought about a month ago. When tuning certain strings, especially the G, it seems like it is getting caught in the nut. When i turn the tuning peg, sometimes there will be almost no response until a metallic sharp and short 'tink' sound pops, and the pitch of the string sort of shoots up. Is there any way to remedy this?

BTW, my SD-2 should still be under warranty as I have registered for the 3 month warranty. Is this covered?

Try lubricating the nut slots. Simply rub the tip of a pencil in the slot to rub off the graphite into it.

So can I lubricate it with the strings on the guitar? Or do I have to remove them first?

You can bring down your guitar to shop this wed from 3.30 to 7.30. I can fix the problem for you on the spot. If not you'll have to leave the guitar with us for 1-2 working days.
