Haha eugene bro i gotcha covered man, no worries i dun think i will be getting it soon too.....need to consolidate some funds first, cause i am getting a reverb pedal first before the ad-17. But it will be nice to know who are interested so that we can consolidate later on, btw Thor bro i apologise for going out of the original topic down here.

anybody who has tried out the rutt2 and have any comments?
still deciding whether to plonk my money on the new one or stick with the tried and tested v1
and i believe i have mr kimjawbetta's msn on my contact list, have spoken to him a couple of times ( dont know whether this helps)

The internal gut of the Rutt2 should be the same as version 1. I contacted Kimjawbetta early last year to build a custom Rutt, and provided him with Beavisaudio FKR Rat schemetic. I believe the incarnation we see now is the improved Rutt. I cant wait to try....perhaps the ultimate make-in-thailand Rat clone.

Now I'm undecided. I listened to the clips and I liked Rutt1 better. Thought Rutt2 would have "backwards compatibility" in terms of sound.

Ok peeps time for some RUTT V2 REVIEW!!! haha ok dear marcus was kind to let me try out the RUTT V2 today, hmmmm lets start with looks first......IT LOOKS GREAT with the red sparkle finish, next the white LED is UBER BLINDING, and lastly the red motion light is a real cool feature that shows ur pick attack.
Next the SOUND......hmmmm honestly speaking if u r looking for a thick fuzz or even RUTT V1 level of fuzz, u will be disappointed as it offers none of it.......lets just say it sounds more like a RAT now.......nice low gain tones, great for blues and some grind imo, dial in more gain and u get some gd dist/fuzz tones although sustain is not very gd. As for the low fuzz/high fuzz switch.....it adds more mids when activated giving the fuzz some mid boost and honestly don't switch off cause it really needs the mids imo! Next the colour knob at the side actually acts as a treble booster although the effect is subtle.......if u r thinking brian may tones......it is far fetched........what it does is it gives the fuss tone some much needed character to cut through the mix. My fave setting for the RUTT V2 is basically maxing the gain,switched to the high fuzz, and dial in a gd amount of colour knob boost.
In conclusion, RUTT V2 is a totally different animal from the RUTT V1.......it is an acquired taste.......if u like the versatility RUTT V2 shld be ur cup of tea. But if thick fuzz with loads of sustain is wat u r looking for RUTT V1 is the way to go!!!
