I know it's a dumb question....but i've noticed almost every floyd rose bridge rusts after 2 yrs at least...is there any way of preventing...any solution to reccomend..i was thinking of trying string cleaner since they can coat the strings why not the bridge:D

WD-40 literally stands for Water Displacement, 40th attempt. That's the name straight out of the lab book used by the chemist who developed WD-40 back in 1953. The chemist, Norm Larsen, was attempting to concoct a formula to prevent corrosion -- a task which is done by displacing water. Norm's persistence paid off when he perfected the formula on his 40th try.

Now don't you feel better knowing that?

its the moisture that causes tarnish / rust.

That is prevention./.... how bout cure..my S pickup the metal thingy all brownish liao.... i used lemon oil and cleaned most of it... but still got a bit stubborn stains here and there

I think if there's only one rule to guitar maintenance, this should be it.
All u need is a piece of good cloth 8)
