Rubber pads louder than my drum sound ! :(

hi bros, i'm currently using a digital drum set which had some kinda hard rubber for its pads. Problem is, i can't turn on the sound loud because i live in hdb and my neighbours are older folks who're at home 24/7 and loves to complain. So when i hit the drum pads (at the volume that can't get complained by), the "thak thak thak" sound from hitting the rubber pads kinda overpowers the snare, cymbal and all other sounds from speaker !! :(:(

tried drum sticks with rubber tips, putting tissue paper and even sticking plastic tapes on the pads but they're all ineffective..

Also, i need to get another digital pedal with a 2.5mm jack connector, but can't seem to find one anywhere ! current one broke.

Can any bros give any advice on these ? Greatly appreciated. THANKS !!

Have you tried connecting earphones to your set? If you have, I would recommend higher grade earphones 'cause that seems to be the issue here.

yes got try, it's all good but usually friends are over most of the time since we're all neighbouring jammers, lol. (life just rocks when it is so =P)

so when i got my headsets on they can't hear anything and i cant hear them as well. unless i get some kinda splitter that goes 3 ways, haha. plus 3 good pairs of headsets, i think not cheap liao

hmm quite off topic here sorry, but is there ANY electric drum which module can be used as a mixer? haha

woah ! if there is, i think you're looking at the upper end of the 4digit digital drum tier.. lol !

problem still not solved >_< owwie neighbour grumbled loudly again today because of my thak thak thak.. wah laoz !
