I am planning to upgrade from my 10 watt amp to a 30 watt amp..

But cant seemed to make the right decision...

Can you guys help me pick? as i dont know which is better? And the reasons why??

Telling me the price if u know would be better:)

The cube sounds better, and is more feature laden..
Personally I think the Toneblaster series is not good.. Cleans aint good, and neither is the distortion..

Try the :
Vox Pathfinder series (nice tone, but only 2-band EQ)
Randall RG series (nice tone, but expensive)
Epiphone Valve Jr (SUPERB cleans, but that's all you got)
Blackheart amps (more feature laden than VJ, but cleans not as warm)
Marshall MG15MSII (good distortion and cleans, but needs to be played loud)

You don't need a 30W amp just because it is 30W.. Wattage only means volume, but still, some 5W tube amps can be heard over drums.. What matters is the speaker size as well..

Most importantly, what's your budget? And what do you want from the amp?

As for prices, GO FIND OUT YOURSELF (for the thousandth time, use the Search button on Google or wherever).

the current ibanez TBX amps have much improvements in terms of the default overdriven tone. the previous TB series are indeed lacking in good overdrive.

Just curious, but does the Valve Jr take in pedals well?

That question has been answered to death by a lot of people here. The answer is: YES.

Take up Godspeed's suggestion and use the SEARCH function.

Since I'm feeling nice, I show you one link you should see:

http://soft.com.sg/forum/guitar-amp-reviews/42606-epiphone-valve-jr-head.html

Pay close note to this paragraph:
The reviewer believes that in addition to the head’s fine tubes circuitry, Eminence’s Lady Luck 12” driver turns the amp into a proficient sponge;...

the Valve Jr accepts all manner of drive, distortion & modulation inputs while retaining its signature girth & clarity, be them analog or digital.

This effectively means that this amp would be an equal servant of a jazz pro, a blues rocker, a shred master as well as a metal monolith. Nevertheless, extreme music proponents (this reviewer especially) should arm themselves with an EQ supplement to exercise bottom end peddling not that the amp is incompetent in doing so but this helps propel some urgency & effectiveness in lieu of a much excluded on-board reverb. As mentioned before, get along or go away.

Helpful, yes?
