rock n roll = the road to hell?

Music is another form of expressing yourself. Due a lot of different individuals different form of music are born. same thing goes to rock and roll.
so what if they are satanic ... doesn't mean that we can not enjoy the music just because the artist themselves are satanic. It's their expressions and rock born from that expression.
Same thing goes for art ... Even if it's a drawing of satan doesn't mean that we can not appreciate the effort and expression that the artist is conveying.
What matters isn't what we listen to and enjoy but more about how we behave and how we treat other people.
Music is an expression, Rock and roll is an expression as well ... So it isn't a sin to listen and enjoy how others express themselves
Myself being a christian and sometimes plays for the church but I listen to Metallica, Cradle of Filth, Children of Bodom and other "satanic" rock music. But it never affect me spiritually

Music and Religion are separate entities
It's not just Rock music that has been scrutanised for being associated with the devil.
Before the age of Rock music was Classical Music.I heard that there was point in time where the dimished scales were going through some form of modification in such a way that it sounded "devilish" and of course the chuch strongly opposed it.
The late Italian Violinist Nicolo Paganini played the violin in such a way that people thought that he was being possessed by the devil together with out of this world techniques (can u imagine him shredding on a violin?).People also thought that he made a pact with the devil as he was a skinny fella with extremely long hair which really gave people the creeps.... 8)

read angels and demons by dan brown and u will soon find out.. the evolving of satanism.. the main intention of satanism isn't against christ.. is to prove that god doesn't exist.. read it and u will know..
abt the mixture of satanism and music.. in my point of view.. they are venting out some anger that's crop up in them.. and if there's another 2 cases.. to promote satanism through music and for shocking values..

Hey... you don't believe Dan Brown? Isn't all his books placed in the fiction bestsellers shelf?
to be honest, i've NEVER realli pay attention to the meaning of the lyrics although i always sing. funny man. :roll: its the melody that i seek for.

i tink it depends on ur intention. If u use music to hate other religions, to spread message that religion is wrong and so on..i tink dats not rite.
the fat lady sings for a good cause.
and the muslims also got something like boybands & girlbands singing for a good cause also.
and when they read the holy book Quran, its kind of melodious.
the EVIL will always be jealous of the GOOD.
and we guys are adult enuf to tink wats rite and wrong for us.

i think the key is to be aware. there can be many guises for different causes. if things were that simple, the battle would not have gone on for ages. peace to all. :yawinkle: :smt052
aiya sometimes they say such things is because of commercialism and stuff. and the end of the day , they go back home and pray to god. Must be smart enough to know such things...I can feel angry over a breakup and compose a song with angry lyrics , lotsa heavy drums and guitar riffs...but i don't worship satan.

sorry for the OTT. in any case. religion is a sensitive issue. i m a christian too. i mean music is subjective. some interpret rock ( all forms and genres ) to be demonic due to its style of music , its type of music.
IMO honest opinion, let people call it any type of music. religion is a personal thing between GOD and you. If u feel its all right with GOD and you playing / hearing that kinda music is OK between you and GOD. its OK. dont let what others say CONDEMN you and prevent you from enjoying that music. Besides, Religion is a personal thing. who is to say Whats RIGHT to go between you and GOD ? Let GOD guide you to what is right

this goes against bible teachings of taking things out of context and is a distortion of the truth. its crime is not in the plot but a subversive blend of truth and fiction to misguide readers into tihinking the false is true.
no offence to any1 k ? one of my good female frens is a dan brown nut ... just cannot allow such misconceptions to spread.

rock n roll is not = to road to hell... but pple says so.. becuz most of them are narrow minded... dun see things from other point of views and becomes judgemental.. and then they will start to accuse rock and roll as being evil.. humans are prone to misjudge.. and humans after all are not perfect.. so why bother.. its us humans tht makes rock n roll evil.. or rather perceive it as it is evil.. but as the matter of fact.. the decision lies to the eyes of the beholder...
