RMC question

hey guys, was wondering if any of the RMC wahs can be modded to be usable with one spot, and how much would that mod cost

really interested in an RMC but the anti one spot thing is a pain

Well there are people who do use it with one spot ....but the occasional hum is annoying.
yes possible to mod with heavy filtering but you may loose its body, sparkle and line power gives high end shrill ....

For any wah i recommend using batt as its fuller and better operation with that *batt sag* imo.

Go battery.

If not for tone, then for the quiet... I've gone from adaptor to battery and there is quite a noticable drop in noise.

oh, about how long will the bat last (hours of usage)

and its TBP so i shdnt have to unplug it from the chain when not in use rite?

Dunno how long it will last but... it will last pretty long. If you wish, tape an extra battery somewhere on your pedalboard. Wahs can be easily opened and battery changed.

TBP doesn't mean you can leave cable in and batt wouldn't drain.

Batt will drain if you leave cable in.

So unplug.

Not too hard though. :)

oh i see... dah! noob here

so i have to detach cables from all the input jacks of my pedals to stop the battery drain? ergh no point i think ive lost all the battery power in the rest of my pedals alr haha

Just out of curiosity, what's the issue with the new RMCs and the 1-Spot? I'm using an older version of the RMC3 with the 1-Spot without any problems whatsoever. I did add a 1N914 to filter the input power, though, because it was humming with another power supply of mine. Did the trick..

Edit: Ok, I just had a read through the RMC site and I think the reason I'm not getting problems with the 1-Spot and the RMC3 is that I'm using the same 1-Spot to power all my pedals. That's 10 other pedals plus 1 tuner. That should make the current to the RMC3 somewhere below the max of 200mA.
