At an estimate of $150+/- , The Audio Technica AT2020 to me is one of the most cost effective condenser microphone for recording vocals and a piece of mind to throw it in miking a really loud sound source like guitar amp or get a pair as overheads for drums or room mics etc. This thing is versatile and solid built! This microphone was used (I loaned to the band for recording before they engaged me to mix/master) in the production for Ingride and A Town In Fear. There are a few SOFTies I've came across with very good results on recording with it too.
