Replace nut and setup.

That's the thing ain't it?

The customer's touch is different from the tech's touch... and what works with Hands Set A might not work with Hands Set B.

I've had my own guitar played by a tech in front of me - no buzz - then I play, there's buzz!

taypeng81, what I do to avoid such situations - because I dislike having to return to the tech to get things redone - is to just sit and play for say 10 mins at the shop. A-OK = usually A-OK then.

to be fair to KC, I did not ask him to redo it because i only really tried it out at home and found the rattling on the fretted note from the upper frets onwards unbearable. i didnt try it out extensively at the shop as i was running late to meet someone..my fault for not clarifying at the shop..

Sounds like the neck is bowed, and action at saddle is lowered. straightening the neck a bit more and raising the saddles might be your answer. Provided the frets are level.;)

I raised the action slightly and it was all good. I think the action was set low at the nut...
less piak now haha.. btw the fender 69s you recommended sound really sweet in this strat with rosewood neck. especially 1 and 2 positions...i pick it up to play and 1hr just passes by like that..
