Regarding buying gears from ebay (USA)

it's safe if you buy from good feedback seller which faizal_rocks said. But it's pretty hard to ask them to ship here. cos i gt 0 feedback. lol

zero feedback is fine. everyone started out somewhere. I can post something for you to buy at $0.01. then complete transaction and exchange positive feedback to get you out of the zero zone.
:)

I once bidded on a Fender Joe Strummer Tele body and I was in the lead, playing the bidding game in the last 5 mins. Only to lose out by a mere 2-4 seconds..can u believe that? :P And I did this at around 630am in the morning (S'pore time) before going to work :P

Some sellers request that those with zero feedback will need the seller's approval before they can bid.

there is a software that i once used for bidding on ebay. all you need is to key in the highest price you are willing to pay for the item and it automatically bids for you at the very last seconds. You wont loose if your price does not exceed your stated price.

Dont need to wake up in the wee hrs in the morning and also there is no error in bidding like bidding too soon or too late.

Google for it! There's a few out there. I used Auction sniper. Try the trial version before buying and you will know what i mean.
It helped me win many many auctions some time back.

just wait till the very last sec and bid $50 above the previously bidden.

Thats a good way too.
Don't be afraid to bid high. You only pay for the last highest auction price. People usually loose in auctions cause they do the $0.50 - $5.00 slow bid increase. By then, you would have run out of time while waiting for the page to refresh.

If you want it bad, "CHEONG AH!!!!"
haha

Lets say if your budget is 1k, once the item exceeds 1k, then it wont bid for you. It will only bid how much you are willing to pay for the item. So rest assured if the auction is below 1k, there is a very high chance you will win it.

As for the a cracked ver, I dont think there is cause it links your ebay account to their server. But if you manage to find one, more power to you!

About bid increments, Lets say u bid 1k for the item and the last bidder bid $500 and next bid increment is lets say $502.00 and auction closes. You only pay $502 and not $1k even though your bid was $1k.

Another example will be that you bid $1k. other party bids and find that he/she keeps getting outbid. so he/she bids $502 then $600 then $700 then $999 and decides to call it quits. Now you will have to pay $999 since you are the highest bidder at $1k.

Get the picture?
:)

ic.. thx. i guess i must always be prepared to pay for the amount i put for the bid. anyway i gt an ebay app on my iphone and i check like 15 mins in a while LOL!
