Softies,

I already bought my M-audio Fast Track Pro at Sinamex and a Shure SM58 Mic. Im good to go ? As in like do i need anything else like mixer and stuffs ? I need to know whether i made the right choice of choosing the M-audio and Shure SM58. The Shure SM58 can record acoustic guitar too ?

I currently have the guitars that i wanna use to record, Mic( Shure Sm58 ), Software(Garageband), Recording interface( M-audio Fast track pro USB) , Macbook.

Neeed help here . Thanks !

Hi, if u are planning to just record ur accoustic guitar that will be fine :) Shure SM58 should be good to go... u can get a semi-accoustic guitar too to record by directly plugging into ur USB recording interface... Garage band can do the recording for you... It's good enough :)

Im planning to record a hardrock song that consist most of the guitar riffs and vocals. Do you think it is good enough bro ? Thanks for the reply .

heh, you have already the tools for recording, what you need to do now, is learn how to use those things, to lay down your ideas and make it into a song.

Whether is it good or bad gear review, it doesn matters coz you have the gear in hand and even if we say it sucks, will you be buying new gear that we might say is really good or not able to get out of the words and not do those music ideas in mind?

To lay down ideas and make it into music, sometime it aint all about the gear but how much time we can spend, to learn how to use what we have in hand and make music.

as for the gear to buy or expand the personal studio, part of the knowledge of knowing what to buy or add on, will come from knowing what we already have and able to use. And what you have know, hardware, is more then enough to lay down ideas and arrange them within garageband.

imho

It's good enough :) now you just need to know how to use them, the software and the hardware... :) if you know how, you can create amazing things out of it... garage band is quite simple to use ya just explore it for an hour and u can start recording... you can add drums, bass guitar to your riff..you should record the vocals separately.. hhaha have fun!!
