1. If you have zilch clue on recording distorted guitar amps via microphones, don't read. Only for the inquisitive and the Googlers.

ah yes thats a classic article. the speaker/cab excursion trick works pretty well. painful though.

yep it is. going thru it slowly. takes awhile. but tried some techniques on some of my tracks last night and its sounding better!
