hey, im getting a new guitar and these are the points of consideration.

1) Budget of $500-700.

2) That guitar has a whammy bar.

3) Any brand will do except Ibanez.

4) Nice body shape (not too complicated).

you can consider swing guitars from standard value. fits your budget and i really dig the wilkinson whammies. very stable stuff and can withstand some serious abuse.

also very versatile with its HSS config, some models have built in coil split switch for humbucker as well.

but its pretty much a strat shaped guitar, idk if thats what you call cool hahaha.

u can go to davis or swee lee for a start, like brands like cort x series (cort X-6 and X-11 are great), ESP or LTD, BC Rich, Hamer, Jackson, I know of jackson DXMG with EMG PUPS, it is sold in malaysia for RM1k so abt 400 plus SGD but in singapore i dunno... u want something versatile or specific genre? Like metal etc, usually metal ppl go for jackson esp ltd bc rich, versatile like ibanez, cort, fender. and so on lah...
