Hey guys...i know this topic might have been mentioned bu i wanted to compile them. i'm looking for a envelope filter that reacts to your pick attacks...not those that oscilliate...apparently there are many auto wahs in the market so i thought i sought advice for people who may have used some b4.

i'm also in the midst of changing my pickups on my old strat so i might wanna go for something like lindy fralins or kinmans. i really like to know the difference between them...any other brands i should consider? pls let me know thanks 8)

gee thanks daniel for the prompt reply as always haha

i'll check out the website but i actually i really like to know which auto wah paul gilbert used in the flying dog tour vcd....any ideas?

yo sean..

you must decide whatcha want man .

Kinmans and lindys are expensive.. one is true single coil , the other isnt.

you need to decide whether you can live with the hum

if you cant stand the noise. ----> kinmans

if you dont mind some hum ---> Suhrs v60lps

hi bigrockshow,

Lindy Fralin pickups produce vintage sounding and are true single coils. We are Fralin pickups Authorised Dealer and they are currently on Annual Sale at http://tymusiccenter.com/sales2006.php

The 2 most sellable Strat replacement for Fralin is Blues Special and Vintage Hot.

Hum is part of the single coil, it's a compromise if u want the true single coil sounding. Hum can be reduced by proper shielding of the guitar. Some players play at 2nd and 4th position to avoid the hum

I have not dealt with Kinmans, so no opinion. U can search through the forum for more information.

If u need further queries on Fralin pickups, feel free to email me at info@tymusiccenter.com, thanks!

hi CK thanks for letting me know..i'll do my homework and get back to ya if i really decide on lindy fralins!!~

i narrowed them down to the Q-tron series from EHX...of course price wise is a little steep..anyone other models to recommend? best with price tag 8)

u want good and cheap filter?? then get the byoc envelope filter.. its based on the DOD 440 (same as the tonefactor analogue filter) 8)

I believe there is a Guyatone Stevie Salas Signature model Wah Rocker on luther classifieds. Best pick that up if I were you! :)

That is an older model right? Have Guyatone "upgraded" it to the current WR-3 incarnation?

yup thats the new version but from what i heard,i guess i narrowed it down to the mini Q-tron.

Problem is its not available in singapore and mrmisse only has the micro q-tron...so whats the main difference? size and price? sound? any ehx gurus?

you can find the Mini Q-Tron at Yamaha and at Ebenex bro...around $170-$185 liddet...or check out the classifieds...I got mine second-hand for $80 via the Luther classifieds.

Thanks for the heads up man!~
hows the mini q-tron by the way?

yamaha and mr misse is sold out for now so i have to wait anyways...will browse the classifieds!~

Drop me a msg if your selling!~ 8)

Ebenex still has I think, you should go check it out there. As for how it is...well I'm a bassist you see...but it sounded pretty sweet when my guitarist friends tried it out with their axes...
