recommend home practice amp

Hi guys! Cld you recommed me a good home practice amp (Vox, Marshall, Behringer etc)? 10/ 15W. I read that Marshall cd15r is good? My Budget is up to $200. I don' think I need effects on the amp as I wld be using a multi efx.... thanks!

I think you should first give thought to if you are ever going to need a bigger, better amp.
In my case, I quickly became dissatisfied with the cube 15, of which I previously thought was a good practise amp. Thus leading to me selling it off and purchasing a 30watter.

So, if you think that you'd be inclined to pursue a better overall sound and general quality, do consider saving up a little and then splurging on a better/bigger amplifer.

i've been recommending the CUBE30 long enough to people in search of a good practice amp, not that it's been dethroned in its worth, but meet the worthy contender:

CRATE VTX15B (List: $255)

ssheavy: it's a little excessive with regards to your specs, but it's worth every cent IMO- there's even an on-board FX unit. nothing fantastic but above average.

BTW- this discussion is better off @ Guitar- Gear section...

there's a drastic difference between the CUBE15 & it's 30 counterpart IMO.

Here are 3 amps most pple would consider around the beginner price range that I've tried.. personal opinion of coz

Roland Cube 30 (very nice cleans, distortions abit digitalish, high gain nice)
Peavey Transtube (cleans veri trebly, good for heavy stuff)
Vox Valvetronix 30 (not so nice cleans, dynamics lacking, nice overdrives)
