Recommend Good Jazz Bands to cover plz???

yea my band is tinking of playing some jazz in the future...perhaps u SOFTies could recommend some good jazz bands to cover. Those bands that has GP4s would b great too...coz from my experience....most jazz "bands" are solo artistes with other invited musicians to make an album...

so wad im looking for is a permanent group of jazz doodz to cover :lol:

erm.not acid jazz.

i dunno wad other jazz there is... i listen to this album by Dennis chambers,greg howe,victor wooten....really nice n funky...

something around that area...instrumental

stuff for a normal jamming band...

Try herbie hancock ... watermelon man or cantaloupe island ... for a start ... that should be easy to cover ...

or classics ... swing ... can start from charlie parker's song

If you want something more technical but funky as well ... try spyrogyra or t-square and the likes
