the DSL401 does get heated up pretty quickly but it doesn't mean that it's not useable. when i used to own one, i aimed a small table fan at the rear.

Actually I previously had a couple of 'new old stock' Roland Blues Cube 60, Made in USA too. Sold a couple of them already. My side no more stock, but I can check if my friend is selling his last piece, if you are interested. Seriously good tone from this tranny amp.

I'm not really into amp modelling stuff, so I'll think I'll go ahead with the XXL amp, pay abit more, but think it'll be worth it, unless, someone want to sell me 2nd hand?

The Roland Blues Cube 60 does NOT have amp modeling or digital effects to muck up the signal chain. It's a discontinued model, no more will be available after this.

Very heavy for a 1X12 tranny amp, should be the strong cabinet. It has a special design "greenback" style speaker. So it's distinctively in it's own sound class.

It's totally different from the current Cube60 model. Even the cabinet is cream tolex finish, very unique by today standards.
