Rate the singing

Is this Singing okay? we recently got her to try for our acoustic session.
I find her voice very sweet very simple. Could you guys give comments so i could run along to her?

think she has some pitching problems. but overall i think she has some singing techniques and her voice has potential

She needs some exercises, physically, like jogging or swimming, I'll be direct, her breathing is abit wrong? yea, that's my opinion.

If she has great amount of lung capacity, this song can be improve, breathing correctly is 80% of the singing liao....

Airy style of singing does lead to shortness of breath

But the worrying aspect is diction and that it starts sounding a lil whiny after a few plays

diction not good,no clarity in voice...singing like reading a book,no sense of melodic in voicing....singing for fun is ok....to be a pro,i dont think so...unless take a vocal lessons and learn the proper way to sing before even trying to create your own style of singing...not just one dimensional kind of singing..

diction can be improved, once you improved on diction youre already heading to imrpove your clarity. Just maybe ask her to read online articles on pitching and work on it. Get her to get her level of voice where she feel comfortable without losing her breath.

Djanggo, maybe you could voice your opinions on how to improve? i think skotie would appreciate that alot.

Just tell her to work on it and she has a sweet tone, so of course theres potential.right guys?

Hmm.

Potential: I would say that yes, she has a nice tone, but needs better diction (as stated by others previously) and of course pitch control.

However, if you ask me whether I would pick her up as a vocalist right off the bat, i would say.. no.

But yes, doing more breathing exercises, practise songs in different keys etc would help to improve one's vocal ability.

Pitching will be the main problem but she has a nice voice. Not sure whether the song she sang is a cover song. But it would be good to get her to sing a popular cover song that most of us are familiar with so that we can rate her better.

The melody that she tried to sing may not make sense to those of us who are not familiar with that particular song.

Woah....she better not sing! That's horrible miserable man! Take in good fate, not everyone is born with the singing capability. She's 'tone deaf'! I can't make out the song.

A good singer will sing well even without accompaniment.

I believe the song is hard as she didnt know when to stop and such.
