Hi all,

I recently stumbled upon a Marshall Master Reverb 30 SS amp in a runned down shop that sells second hand electronics. It has a 1x12 Celestion G12S-50 speaker and is a 30 watter amp. It probably has some faults in it but i wont know for sure as "NO TESTING ALLOWED" but power supply source is working fine. i have been doing some research on it and found some details but very vaguely. All i know for now is that its discontinued and it's an amp dating back to the 80's.

Oh yeah....
It's selling at $80 (nego)

Does anyone have any info on this amp and its price? is this an amp worth collecting?
Do share your thoughts.
Thanks :D

for 80 bucks, if its still working, its still worth that money. No where else there will be much chance to just spend $80sgd and getting a working 30watter.

anyway, found quite a bit of info when i try to google for it.

Yeah, i'm just worried about the the repair bit. Discontinued spare parts and stuff... The amp looks nicley aged. slight rust on some screws but pretty good for an amp thats about 20 years of age.

Oh btw, the pic is not from the actual amp itself.
googled it and found some pics.

dude, based on a simple google which shows pretty positive reviews, coupled with the price it's a no brainer.

if it doesn't work either you bear the cost of repair, or you just swallow an 80 dollar loss. not the end of the world. you can probably sell it for half of that to someone who's willing to fix it.

i've tried the larger version once - think it was a 100w, through a cab. i got it for backline and i thought it'd be rubbish but surprisingly it sounded really really good for cleans once i got it at the optimum volume and it took drive pedals very well - certainly comparable to a decent tube amp, i hardly could tell any difference. probably one of the nicest solid states i heard. if the 30w has any of that heritage, then i think you're gonna like it.
