Questions on Gibson Les Pauls.

hi softies, hope you can help me out with this. i saw several gibson les pauls made from different years, both standard and classic. i found out that some standards have Chromed Grover Tuners with the kidney bean type of tuning keys instead of the current green ones that we see. Also, for some les paul classics, the headstock does no say "Les Paul Model". instead it is "Les Paul Classic". i want to know why are there these differences and im rather curious about this.

different years, different styles.
for the LP standards...they've been going on and off kidney grovers...
the last time they had those was in 2002/03.

while the LP classics that say LP model are from the first batch in the early 1990's.
