Question aboout Barber Small Fry pedal.

Hey softies, i really need someone to enlighten me on this. Recently i've bought the small fry unit and it seems that when everytime i activate it, it will give out a slight humming sound. Some told me that its because of my power adaptor but when i tried using my fren's power adaptor, the same problem remains. I wonder if it is the characteristics of the pedal to give out the hum sound or is it because my pedal is faulty?? Please help me on this. Thanks softies.

Using single coils/ungrounded amp?
You can try putting a noise gate as well.

Unfortunately there's so many variables that could be causing the hum. If you're using a power strip try turning off other appliances plugged into it or try going straight to the wall socket. Try touching the metal parts on your guitar when using different pickups and see if the hum is lesser... could indicate some grounding issue

Its normal for ODs to produce a slight hum when activated esp with higher gain settings and single coils.. if the hum persists even if u lower the gain and volume or cut the volume entirely then its probably the pedal.

If u think its the adapter then try using a battery with the pedal alone and if the hum continues u can narrow it down to cables/ guitar/ amp. If the hum stops then u know its cos of the adapter.
