quality of tone question.

hey guys.. just need to find out.. does a change in the body make the most change in sound?

like changing from a cheap body to a higher quality body assuming all the other parts are the same..

and this is also assuming u play the guitars through a good amp, have good pickups and a guitar neck.

a more costly body is usually of a superior grade (eg: Ibanez RG vs Joe Satriani signature model- both basswood) hence a more likeable tone.

okay great...

so the neck quality also a big difference?

thanks for the prompt replies all.

BTW, artec pedals back in stock at gc

diffirence in wood grade for the same type (neck included), would make a tonal difference. its manifestation through the amp remains subjective (especially if your set-up includes loads of pedals & such...).

all the best tone wood with bad 'set up' gives poo tone .....!
and gives good business to guitar parts people

Yep.. Quality of the neck wood and fingerboard wood.. When you fret notes, you're contacting the fingerboard as well as the frets..
