Ratings for SKATE are LOWER for the ps3 version as compared to the XBOX 360 version of the SAME GAME, with complaints that the ps3 version has sluggish frame rates compared to the 360. How embarassing!
Anyway, anybody who owns a powerful PC or an XBOX360 owes it to themselves to play BIOSHOCK. Played and finished that game and I must say, it's DEFINITELY game of the year material
sad news too, Grand Theft Auto 4 has been postponed from an October release to the second quarter of next year.

ps3 is the best man.. even now 360 claims to be better. ps3 is still devloping games. and u should check out the ghost recon warfighter. it rocks =) superb graphics. cant wait for gta 4. no matter how good 360 is.. i am always a ps fan. because winning eleven is born from play station so yea ! ps3 can do anything with it.. u dun have to pay monthly online fees like 360. can download demo from the network around the world and its free. so before u buy any game u can try out the demo.
i know everyone is waiting for ps3 to get hacked so u all can get the games from pirated shops. well i think that its impposible for that to happen because its all blue ray disc. so no one could ever sell that at a low price like how u get yur dvd games.
the only way to hacked it i guess is that people start sending u the games online and u just download it. so yea no point for waiting ps3 to get hacked. get it now!
even its like 60 gb? u can always plug in yur portable usb device or hardisk. wireless controller that can control to on or off yur system without even getting near yur console =)

ghost recon advanced warfighter has been out for ages on 360, so has GRAW2 (the sequel).
you don't have to pay anything to download demos/updates/content on xbox live.
usb devices and wireless controllers were part of the 360 from the beginning.
so forgive me when i say i thought you were talking about the xbox from the start of your post...

I have GRAW 2 on both the XBOX360 and the PS3 and I must say, the PS3's graphics are laggier AND definitely not better than the XBOX one. It's happened on multiple games too; Homecourt, that basketball game, has lousier reflective surfaces than on the XBOX360. The ONLY thing that will save the ps3 this time around is, of course, Metal Gear Solid and the Final Fantasy frnachises, along with a few RPGs along the way.
The main problem is that most developers say that the PS3 is a difficult platform to program games on, as compared to the xbox, which is closer to the programming format for the PC.
Though Warhawk for the PS3 simply rocks!
And there are several killer PS3 exclusive games coming out too, such as Killzone and LittleBigPlanet. Not to mention that the PS3 will be releasing HOME as the direct answer to XBOX's LIVE service; it'll be like a virtual 3d myspace-ish world and is free.

skate is frustrating no doubt but the game itself is definately solid, the sense of acheivement is immense once you get through some of the ridiculous challenges like pulling off a nollie 360 flip into a grind down a park wall. the flickit system makes it difficult in the sense that the slightest stick pressure affects everything tremendously..

But there's a bug though. Quite close to the beginning of the game, there's a section at the Hospital level where frame rates get choppy. But it goes away after bout 20 minutes. After that it's smooth sailing all the way!
