Clearing out my PRS SE for $500. Cost $950 at Davis. No trade. Condition 8/10.

Check out the nice tone http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fwOF_uVDVrM

All are welcome to buy except yubsesperat, for lowballing $50 for my Vox Pathfinder 15R and being a general nuisance to the Soft community.

I don't type long stories like someone, it's short and sweet but you may have to bear with someone's long posts as per the evidence below:

yubsesperat started a thread to whine about a faulty bass he bought and flame the seller, whine how come didn't tell him the bass repair history http://www.soft.com.sg/forum/showthread.php?t=209851

Then goes to seller's sale thread for another bass to flame him, but seller retorted with the truth to expose his twisted lies and he lost face so didn't dare to reply anymore http://www.soft.com.sg/forum/showthr...49#post1144149

Then sells the bass with no mention of the repair history and even dare to say it's in good condition nothing serious, when he flamed the previous owner over the same bass http://www.soft.com.sg/forum/showthread.php?t=221530

Makes another advertisement for the same bass and uses the same tactics he blames previous owner for namely "no fuss deal, need cash quick" http://www.soft.com.sg/forum/showthread.php?t=239658

You lowball the Tokai until how much? Don't bullshit us say you bought it for $380.

*i bought it for $360 from rodrech
*replaced the strings $9
*set it up to low action
*cleaned and reconditioned the fretboard

*took extensive photos to show guitar condition and highlight features.

$369 at the least. so if i sell at $300, still so high for you?

how much for a set up? how much for fretboard reconditioning? didnt even count that.

you can ask ragetone the condition he got the guitar. he hasnt stopped msging me raving how in great condish it was.

OK.. so your turn... how much did you buy that guitar for? seller was selling for $400. say you got it for $390 safe to say that at least?

what did you do?

*didnt even take own photos of the guitar. used previous seller's photo link on your ad.
*given that the guitar is still in the same condish you got it and youve probably used it, what ADD-on did you put on the guitar to merit it the $100 mark up your putting on it?

im NOSY at most.

but you are LAZY and an Opportunist.

btw, do your research on whatever you post against me. i can give you reference to those people ive sold stuff to, that i never mislead or make money out of them. coz i against you, i am not short of proof.

Honestly dude stop whining. He OWNS that piece of gear. He purchased it from someone else so it is now HIS AND ONLY HIS UNTIL SOMEONE BUYS IT. Hence pricing is at his OWN DISCRETION.

Is it ethical? Maybe, maybe not. Either ways you have absolutely no right to comment on another persons pricing as long as:
1) He is selling below retail price
2) The person selling the item did not purchase it from you with excuses like he is a student etc; even then onus is on you to either lower your price or stick firm (which I do) so this case will unlikely happen {my point here is that he coerced you into selling lower only so that he can sell higher and that there is a distortion of the original intended price}
3) Said item is damaged and knowingly sold as a mint item

I don't see him breaking any such code so stop being so sore

1. yes it is his own discretion. im not asking him to change his price, am i?

2. im not being sore. im just leting people know. and what im saying are facts. its up to the buyer if he is OK with buying a guitar from a person who is making money out of it.

3. you only know half of the story. so allow me.

i honestly have no beef with anyone selling stuff more than what they paid for it. i wont specify it but ive sold Krazysell a guitar which he is now selling for MUCH higher than what he negotiated with me for and you dont see me saying anything on his ads, do you?

that is because he is a nice person. he negotiates to lower the price but he has manners. i wont fault him for trying to make a buck from buying and selling as long as he is honest in his dealings.

you however, mr musikal, you are rude and arrogant and i will not allow you, and no one should for that matter, to treat people around here with your attitude.

i asked you nicely. you didnt have a price on the amp so i made proposal, nicely:

pmmusikal.jpg

but what was your response?

'you know what you do with that idea of yours - take it and shove it up your ass'

and after that, i did tell you youre attitude is unbecoming and uncalled for. and i will not stand up for it. and you will hear from me.

so here we are.

ive posted exactly how i approached him (as you can read). i was nice in asking. plus, he didnt have a price on the amp so my $50 offer was a shot in a dark, flexible to what his response might be (true: i bought a vox pathfinder 15 in soft.com for $100, a couple of of years ago thus my starting offer, i regret selling to with my epi goldtop as a package).

you can qualify that as lowballing but i honestly was not. it was a genuine honest offer. but he has the audacity to talk back like that?

so its not about the fact that he is selling it for more than he got it for. the point is, he, in one point of acquiring this guitar, had to negotiate with the owner. he probably was nice because he wanted to get a good deal. and perhaps the seller was nice to him as well.

but now the tables have turned. he is the seller and people wanting to buy, negotiating are at his mercy to give them a good deal. who does he think he is to be rude and arrogant like this? wasnt he in the same position before? and now, because he is the seller, he can act like he can speak lowly and cruel to his buyers?

also like ive mentioned, i dont give a rats ass if he sells this guitar for $2000 for all i care. it really depends if someone will find it worth to buy at that price that determines if it sells or not. again, ive seen people here sell stuff they bargained hard and bought
from me. and i dont say sh*t about them, do i?

Krayzysell is one. but this kid knows his manners. so i dont anything about him. i let him be. i let him do his thing.

musikal however is rude, ignorant and arrogant. i dont have to convince anyone to see that but what i can do is show everyone the facts. if these facts hurt his sale, it is only because someone has brought it up. and that someone is me.

he was rude. this is my version of rudeness, with truth in it. quid pro quo.

call it 'an axe to grind'. hell yeah. i will grind this axe till its dull.

wow din know my ex-guitar is creating such a ruckus here hahaha. really very amused reading the comments.

Musikal: I believe u are entitled to sell at what ever price u like as it is ur guitar. So i m perfectly at peace with u on this. The only request that i need you do is to take down my photos of the guitar. It would be good to post ur own photos to better represent the current conditions of the guitar.

Also i m not even sure about the retail price of the guitar so may not be good to put $950 as the retail price. I think retail then was about $850? cant rem alr but definitely not $950. haha.

Other than that i m cool with the ad! :) best of luck in selling it. hope it has served u well!

Yubsesperat: The guitar was sold at about $360-$365 with the gig bag. I think musikal did some repairs to it amounting to $40. Anyway intrigued by ur csi skills hahah just that musikal did not buy the vox amp from me. sold it to another guy. haha

Well i hope this can clear the air up and we can all move on rather than dwelling in this matter. so i believe anymore posts after this is redundant. Maybe TS can delete this thread and make a new selling thread to better increase the chance of selling it :)

lets all make this a more beautiful world to live in! :) peace!

This is how soft should be like. Matured and honest people. Not kids fighting over stupid problems.

i agree with you. anyone can price their item anyhow they want because it theirs.

id like to thank you that you for mentioning that from the $400 price you put on this guitar when it was still yours and was selling it, musikal managed to get a 45-dollar discount.

and im all good with that.

however, what I wont stand for is this guy's arrogance. how is it that he got a discount for stuff he bought from other softies but when others ask for a discount from him, he RUDELY tells them off?

im sure he was nice when he bought this off you so he could a good deal, right?

but when i nicely made an honest proposal to buy the amp from him so he can sell the guitar, just by itself, at a lower price, he has the audacity to talk me down? he could have just ignored my offer if he wasnt cool with it or declined sternly and stated his price. but he has the balls to disrespect me and say he ought to 'shove' my 'offer up my ass'.

im not sore because i didnt get the amp. i didnt badly want it. i just moved back in and needed something to practice my guitar with at home.

what ticks me off is his RUDE and ARROGANT attitude.

while i dont care about anyone else selling items more for what they got it for, with this one, i do.
